Decorative: 5 Ways to Get Google Reviews

A Google Business Page (GBP) is a must for your holistic business - even if you don’t have a website, you can have an online presence with a free GBP. People turn to Google when they’re looking for help with their problems and this will give you a presence there - if you don’t have a page yet, you can find out how to set one up in this blog.

Why Google Reviews are Important

Trust is an essential requirement for any business, especially one working in health and wellbeing. When I look for new services, I always read the reviews to find out what others have to say about them, before I decide. Good reviews are a powerful way to demonstrate the value you provide to your clients and are gold for your marketing.

I’ve also seen an increase in the enquiries I receive through Google since I started getting reviews there. This is also something my clients are experiencing in their businesses, especially those looking for local clients.

A strong online reputation can build trust with potential clients, showcase the effectiveness of the services offered, and differentiate a business from its competitors. In this highly competitive industry, having a solid reputation on Google can make all the difference in attracting new clients and growing a thriving holistic health practice.

Here are 5 ways to encourage people to leave you great Google reviews:

  1. Make it easy for people to leave you a review. Provide a link directly to your Google review page and simple instructions to make the process as fast and easy as possible.
  2. Ask your happy clients to leave you a review! Reach out to everyone once they’ve worked with you and ask them to leave you a quick review.
  3. Respond to all reviews and show your clients that you value their feedback. This is especially important if you receive a negative review – how you respond will show your professionalism to anyone researching, even if the review isn’t the best.
  4. If you work in person, put a sign up that encourages people to leave you a Google review. To make it even easier you can add a QR code (a square matrix barcode you scan on your phone) so people can be taken straight to your review page there and then.
  5. Email or message your clients after you’ve worked with them to thank them and encourage them to leave a review on Google.

By making asking for Google reviews part of your process when working with clients, it won’t be long before you see the number of reviews increasing. They are great social proof of the amazing work you do and can be used again and again in different areas of your marketing.

Ultimately, having a strong online reputation will help build trust with potential clients, showcase the effectiveness of your services, and help you stand out from the competition – what’s not to love??!!
