Decorative: 7 Collaboration Ideas for a Holistic Business

Collaborations can be incredibly beneficial for holistic practitioners to grow their businesses, as well as develop great relationships with other holistic businesses.

They offer the opportunity to expand your reach, connect with new audiences, and provide your clients with other complementary approaches for their health and well-being. By working with other businesses in the industry, you can leverage each other’s expertise, resources, and networks to create innovative solutions and provide more value to your clients.

By embracing collaboration, you can create a dynamic, supportive network of partners who share your passion for health and well-being, and work together to make a positive impact on the lives of your clients.

I’ve been inspired to do more collaborations by one of my lovely clients who is creating an incredible business with her natural talent to network, build relationships and collaborate with other businesses. She has a team of complementary and alternative medicine professionals who she trusts and recommends to her audience on a regular basis.

7 Ideas to Consider:

  1. Partner with a local health and beauty business such as a gym, yoga studio or hairdresser to offer exclusive offers to each other's customers.

When I first worked as a practitioner, I rented a room from a local hairdresser and created an offer for their customers which was successful.

  2. Collaborate with practitioners who work with the same client group as you but offer a complementary service, for example:

    1. A nutritionist to offer personalised meal plans and nutritional advice.

    2. A mental health professional to offer therapy or counselling services.

    3. A mindset expert to offer personal development support.

  3. Host joint wellness workshops or classes with other local holistic businesses such as yoga practitioners, meditation teachers, or homeopaths.

A friend who is a rehabilitation Pilates teacher does this with other practitioners such as medical herbalists who support the same client group but in different ways and it works brilliantly to grow her audience and introduce her approach to others.

  4. Host wellness retreats or weekend getaways. These can be with other wellness businesses such as spas or meditation centres that are already set up for this type of event or run independently by a group of practitioners at a suitable venue such as a woodland lodge.

  5. Collaborate with a health tech company to offer cutting-edge wellness products or services to your clients.

  6. Partner with a local restaurant, farmer’s market, or meal delivery service to offer healthy food options to your clients.

  7. Join forces with community owners such as wellness influencers or bloggers, health membership owners, and media companies to share your expertise with their audience, and build your audience online.

Collaborations are such a powerful way to build an amazing support network of holistic practitioners who share your passion for health and well-being and market your business in the process.

There are lots of different options to collaborate with like-minded businesses and practitioners - and it’s one of the main ways I market myself. I often speak at practitioner conferences like the Herbal Medicine Conference, run workshops for membership groups like Sally Aquire’s Copy Club for wellness pros, and create training to support student practitioners like the College of Osteopaths.

If you run or belong to a group of health and wellbeing professionals that you’d like me to speak at or run a workshop for - let’s talk – book a call today.
